I'm making a game similar to IWBTG and so far I'm almost done with the first room.
So this is more or less a beta so far:

Here is the first room done. Also, I should have mentioned the controls.
So, the controls are: ~ Left/Right - move
~ B - Shoot
~ A - Jump
~ L - Suicide/Explode
~ R - Restart

Hopefully, by the next update I'll be able to correct some of these and move on to room 3!
Update
~added explosion and delete under collision conditions
~added room two with looping rain and 1280 pixels wide with scrolling camera
_working on making cherry petals loop up and down like a twister
_working on implementing a sprite 128x64 for room two
- Also figuring out how to double jump ( probably with a simple i==0, i<2, i++ statement )
- Making the jump sprites stop when colliding with floor and stationary shooting with sprites

The first and second room are now complete and I'm halfway done with the third room but the gravity code I'm using won't allow a bounce color for my collision map. I also added a new gameover screen.

Ok, so I figured that I would be nice and divide the whole game into two parts. This is the first consisting of 3 rooms ending with the fourth telling the player to load part 2 which I'm currently making.

Here's the final revision of part 1. It actually has working gravity with a double jump system and I took out the silly collision maps. Also, very minor graphic changes. So it looks like I'm finished with part 1 unless someone knows how to fix the jumping graphics so they execute properly and don't freeze after touching the ground.

Ok, so I lied about that being the final revision but here is the third adding a better collision system in room 3.
