Sliker DS is a Bullet Hell Arena Shooter (or BHAS). The goal of the game is simple: destroy the minions of Sliker in order to confront him for the final showdown.

The game features:

NDS binary file. It is recommended that you play on a flashcart in order to save/load, but it will still work in an emulator.

Notes:

• Please Notify me if the Online Scores do not work (I don't have W-Fi as of now).
• My Survival Highscore: 511 (No joke (...okay, that was on Easy lol))
• Sometimes, the game may not save the Difficulty correctly, and the file becomes corrupt. A message will appear in-game if this occurs, explaining that the problem has been solved by resetting the difficulty level to Normal again.
• The game file is hosted on Game Jolt for a reason. The website encourages its developers to upload their game to the website (and in return, I receive 50% ad revenue due to my performance in one of their competitions (although I did not win)).
• Secret: You can change your player by pressing SELECT during the game.

Fixed a serious bug. Sorry to those who have already downloaded it (although the levels are still playable just by entering the Level Select Menu). Re-uploaded.

This has to be in the top 3 DSGM games ever made, if not the best.

I suggest, if you want to promote it to more people, that you ask James to add it in the game player. I really want more people using game player, and predict that when I release game player DS there will be loads more people who will play this game.

Although I'm disappointed by my attempt to create a retro, abstract aesthetic for the game (which looks absolutely horrendous), I'm quite pleased with the overall outcome of the game.

But there could have definitely been much better power-ups lol.

I was in the car the other day and had the old version on my card. I played it and when I got he power up that had the stars around me, it didn't seem to wear off, although the powerup disapeared, the enemys refuesed to shoot me, and I could not kill them. I exited the level and selected another one, and the enemys still wouldn't shoot me, nor could I kill them. I think you need to reset the global power up variable after the effect wears off.

But I don't know if this is fixed in the new version.

Don't worry, I fixed it! It was actually a problem with a different variable when this happens. All taken care of.

I like this. It offers simplistic gameplay but with a challenge. I like the retro style and you put a twist to it to make the game more unique. I have a question though, once you submit your highscore, where can you view it and the leader boards? Also i think the level "blader" is a little frustrating. You have to wait so long for it to stop spinning until it stops so you can attack it, and then if you stop at the right time you might be able to get about in the 90's damage to him each time he stops. I seems to take forever for him to stop and if you stop spinning at the wrong time you might barely get any damage in which means you have to keep waiting for several minutes to kill him. My advice is to lower the amount of time the boss keeps spinning until you can attack. Other than that, i like it.

It is supposed to show the scoreboard on the bottom screen. Did it not show it? I cannot test it as I currently do not have working Wi-Fi.

You have to shoot at it while it is spinning. Each bullet will slow its torque at contact, causing Blader to eventually stop spinning. Once he has stopped spinning, let him have it!

Ohhh. Now i might be able to beat him. As for the highscores it outputs text on the bottom screen, but it's some weird stuff. it looks like this "<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC" and so on.

this game is one of the best games ever made using ds game make(i think).I liked that game from the first time i played but i think that you can do more like adding some backgroungs on the levels or adding multiplayer! any way that game is superd!!!

Uploaded the game to the forum as well, for the convenience of users. Also added the source code to the original post. I hope it helps. It's quite interesting to see how I passed some of DSGM 4.9's issues (such as long loading of large XDS files using C files).
