I was just wondering, how many times have you guys (that have played the game) finished the story before just giving up? I have 4 times.
EDIT:
For those who don't know, after you finish the story, it will start over. You will keep your chips and programs, though, and the story will be slightly different every time you go though. If I remember right, you have to beat the story four times to get all of the DblSouls.

i think i actually did beat it before but then my card deleted the data (or i was trying to take down the last boss, but I'm pretty sure i beat him)! My games my dad bought me from china were always really cheap but would occasionally lose the saved data and I'd have to start all over :'(

i think they should make real life PETs. We pretty much have the technology to make one and we're headed toward that age anyways. I want a Navi :P

Me too! Years ago Takara (Transfomers Company) made some, but they were in Japanese. I am considering making a NetNavi program for the DS with Wifi and everything! If you would like to help, that would be great.

that would be cool but it sounds hard. I'll think about it though. The purpose of a net navi is to jack into any capable device, roam around, manipulate the data inside, and fight viruses. This seems hard for two novices

I have been looking into WillWill's lib for Wifi, and it can be very useful.

then sure, I may try to help. Who knows, if we could get this working it would be amazing! Even if it sucks now it could be a starting place for something. :D Also I'm working on IPhone development and if we could get this to work on DS maybe i could port it to iDevices! I know I'm shooting high, but what else do i have to do in my spare time? lol

EDIT: Do you have any progress or anything done yet? If so, i would like to see it or something. Also, have you every played with those toy PETs that came out forever ago? I always wanted one of those too but never had the money because i was a little kid, lol

No progress yet, but I found some graphics from 4.5 that we could use.
As for PET's, I have the Progress PET currently. It's pretty cool, but it's in Japanese. There are actual BattleChips and a story mode though. The only American ones are, and I hate to say this, really badly done. The only cool thing about them is the looks. That's it. Probably the best one is the Plug-In PET from MMBN3. But, again, it is in Japanese. And unlike the others, it has a load of text.
As for porting it to I-Devices, that would be great. They are the perfect PET-like devices.

Style Change Expenation:
Every 100 battles, you will recieve an alternate style to use in battle based on the chips you used. This style can be turned on and off from the menu, but you can only have one at a time. There will be Wood, Fire, Aqua, Elec, Ground, and Dark styles. Wood makes your PowerAttack a Tornado(Wood), Fire a Heatshot(Fire), Aqua a Bubbler(Aqua), Elec a ZapRing(Elec), Dark a DarkVulcan(None), and Ground a panel-breaking Buster(Ground).

For graphics, we could use BN5 and these:

I have more of them from 4.5, maybe we could use them for the background.

OK, I started on the menu. It's not remotely presentable yet. I was thinking that it could have a Command Line-type interface, where you type in commands. Maybe have a pull-out list, and a seperate "Jack-In" button. Any ideas?

a command line would be cool and wouldn't be too hard, i always wanted to make a full game (not full, but DSGM project sized full) with one but never had a chance to. Drop down is the more user friendly but i always liked command lines better because it looks cooler and it feels epic to type in words and get a response back.
