So I bought a 3DS

Use this forum to discuss both commercial and homebrew games in general; they do not need to be DSGM games.

I would love to own an original NES. Unfortunately, I'm just not willing to through the money towards one :/

I too would love one, but I don't have to money (even if I did, I couldn't afford the games or a flashcard) and I have more than enough video games already (there are litterally 5 Nintendo Consoles on the floor next to me and a giant bookshelf half flilled with video games for DS, 3DS, Gameboy, Gameboy colour, Gameboy advanced, Gamecube, N64, SNES and I have a few old PC games such as lemmings as well). So the last thing I need is more!

Back on topic, I have a 3DS and DS lite. I like my DS lite more than my 3DS.

It's the off-topic section... we don't have to stay on topic. Anyway, I have... 11 systems, I think? I'd like to consider myself a collector of video game systems :)

I've got a black DS lite, an indigo Game Boy Advance, a Wii, an Xbox (original), and that's about it. I can't remember the last time I last played Xbox. I have been busy playing Gameboy Wars Turbo and MMBN3:White.

Did you know that the first game in the Advance Wars series was called "Famicom Wars" and was for the Famicom? It was only released in Japan. The first portable game in the series was called "Game Boy Wars" and was for, guess what, the Game Boy. Here is a list of the games in the series:

Famicom Wars (Famicom, JP Only)
Game Boy Wars (Game Boy, JP Only)
Game Boy Wars Turbo (Game Boy and Super Game Boy, JP Only)
Game Boy Wars 2 (Game Boy Color[w/ GB Compatibility], JP Only)
Game Boy Wars 3 (Game Boy Color, JP Only)
Super Famicom Wars (Super Famicom, JP Only)
(Game Boy) Advance Wars (Game Boy Advance)
(Game Boy) Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising (Game Boy Advance)
Advance Wars: Dual Strike (DS)
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS)

I have an English version of GB Wars Turbo if any one wants the ROM.
Yoshi, unless you already have one, the GBA/SP would be much better that the Micro. The Micro is like a DS without the DS part. Smaller, yes, but can't do anything with the Ext. port except for multiplayer with other Micros. And it can't play GB/GBC games. And no e-reader(But the DS lite can use it!). And no Printer. And no Camera (offical or unoffical). And no Gameshark. And no Action Replay. And the list goes on and on....

All of the money I save goes towards video games. I wouldn't dare spend it on anything else x)

thisthisthis. I just tried to fix my Gameboy Original. I got the dreaded vertical lines of death. Putting pressure on the ribbon connector wasn't enough for my GB and I don't have soldering iron so I'm kinda stuck :/ I ended up just cleaning all the gunk out of it. Now it's a clean GB... even though the screen doesn't completely work...

Easier said then done and anyways they aren't THAT expensive, are they? I thought they were just like 20-40$

Edit: I just checked eBay and for 20$ you can get the console and for 40$ you can the console with a few games and controllers

Sonic. No offense but you're... How do I put this? Too much of a noob to make a portable n64. Yeah that sounds about right. You can go ahead and waste a perfectly good n64 if you want to though.

Yeah... at least work with someone else who has done it before. It'd be a shame to ruin an old system like that.

Sonic, I never said that the Micro never plays GBA games. And I agree with Yoshi and Bobby on the N64.

i got a japanese 3ds...aqua blue...i curse the region-lock "feature"...also,when playing ds games on a 3ds,it's a little bit better than playing on a ds,as the screens are slightly brighter even when i set the 3ds brightness to 1,and the color are slightly "pale" that will avoid seizures or eye-"pain"...

I reeeeeeeeally want a 3DS too, but I don't have one yet.

Just a few days ago, a kid in school didn't come for a few days, and my friend Kyle told me that her house burned down!!! Because her 3DS went on fire for no reason!

And I heard sirens in the middle of night, that day.

The chances of a 3DS burning down your house is far too slim for me to believe that.

Now back off-topic, I'm getting an NES (for free)! Yay! I'll treat it with so much care that it wont break for another 50 years. Also thinking about getting the PowerPak so I can play almost any NES game from any region with game genie codes and... Err, I mean play homebrew... Yeah, I even made a small demo!
