This is DS Game Maker 5.x forum not a DSGM 3.x forum don't post things about. We don't want any error message's because people were trying to downgrade. So please don't miss leed users in this thread.

DSGM 5 nicely installs over it without leaving a problem. Does not effect the pro recognition either. Also, it is off topic so DSGM 3 is relatively off topic to DSGM 5 8-)

3.1 was out for ages. I really recommend that instead of 3.0, though you can go back even to Install26B.exe.

DSGM 5 nicely installs over it without leaving a problem. Does not effect the pro recognition either. Also, it is off topic so DSGM 3 is relatively off topic to DSGM 5

The old versions sit in the same folder as 4.9 - that's C:\DSGameMaker, so I think you'll find you broke your 4.9 install instead. The old versions have 0 effect on DSGM 5.

Yes, but i hope you know this isn't a DSGM 3.x forum...

The user is fully aware that he cannot receive support for this. This is posted with only archive/looking back purposes; and I do think it's important and cool to do that when we make so much progress.

Did you know there's a version of DSGM that was never released? 3.2 ...

Installled. I think I may try and make a game with it.

@James do you think myregistration code will work with dsgm 2.6B?

Also do you still have the first release archived somewhere? That could be interesting to play with.

Yes, it will. I joined the conquest of handheld domination at version 2.8C and I use the same key in 5, 4.9 and 2.8C. It should work with 2.6B as well.

If you mean version 1.0, no, I don't think James does because he took over DSGM at version 2. Someone else had initiated DSGM development.

Correct me if I'm wrong, James. :P

If you want to see epic program progress first find the installer for XtendDS and install it. Compare this to 5.1.

The oldest DSGM is called XtenDS.

Ahh the good old days with my faveorite slug. Wish we still had that cool mascot, the forum is dull to look at now without him and the bright orange everywhere.

I've searched for XtenDS before. I can see why there might have been a name change. It's very similar to XtenD. Can you imagine what kind of product might be called XtenD?

If you want a ds game making tool for your pc, how many people are going to search xtends and how many will search dsgamemaker.

We better not go back to the slug and ver. 3. The slug and I don't agree.

I did the exact same thing, memefefe! After that, I turned to YoYo for a better game maker. Now I'm with DSGM again. It's going much better this time.
