Do the cards come in a pack or loose?

Yes. They come in a silver envelope.

I'm considering your suggestion for putting characters on the front.

The current label is below.

I just looked through the cards on your website. I still think they're a little flat. I also noticed that there are a lot of "add ... attack to a monster" cards (13) and only one or two "add ... defence to a monster". I also wonder if these 53 cards are all of the cards. Because if so, people will get a lot of the same cards and everyone will know what cards there are left in the opponents hand (approximately). Are you also going to make certain cards "rare" by hardly putting them in packages? That would make it more exciting.

The symbol for the game is pretty pro but the characters/card images less so, so putting the current ones up might take from it somewhat imho.

The cards have different frequency numbers which indicates how often they show up in a pack. For example, we find a lot of 'Sword' cards, and there has only been one Grahk-To ever physically made.

I'm attaching a "blank" card. Put your image on and see what it looks like. Also, you might recognise the background on that card.

There's a few more in the works. The current produced cards are one of the 53 on the site though.

I'm just not that good at high-res art. The style will have to stay because I'm basically limit to gradient or textured fills to outlined shapes.

Just 1 minute work with a dark-brush in GIMP.
Compared to your signature I think this is already way better.
I also noticed that there's brown between the 1st and 2nd head it should be purple.

I noticed its my pixel aquatic bg messed with ;) but its too cheery a bg for the example pic I drew. Even if you're limited to gradients better lineart would still up it, you could source outside help for the card art/design if you care to change it, play to your strengths and have others work to theirs to produce a high quality product on all sides. :)

Attached the original with the 'brown' fix (it's the BG showing through since the originals were drawn on white paper). See what you can do 8-)

It looks even better when zoomed out to the size of a card, because then the transitions of the different darkness are less clear.

I'll order sometime. Hey, I know, make a game about it using DSGM.

Or is it only a card game?

I guess I could make a video game for it. But I don't think anyone would play that - and it would need on-line connectivity so people could add their cards. I mean, who had the video game for Yu-Gi-Oh when they were younger?

I didn't mean "OMG FTW ROFL WTF! ETERNIUM DS RELEASED!" I just meant to see how it would look. But yeah, nobody would play it. ;)

Okay. I accept your decision not to buy it. I would buy it, because I think it's a great product.

But you can't sell to everyone.

No need to be rude, if you aren't interested that's fine, careful how you word it though and not to go on and on about it, gets boring fast. :)

this reminds me of a mario card game I made with my friends, its like paper mario/mario and luigi but in card game form. We would play it at lunch, Its fun but keeping score can get complicated especially when you put a bunch of enemy cards on your opponent

I have got some interesting feedback from this topic. Thank you to all who contributed.

I am going to close it now. Eternium is very new and I am pleased to get positivity amongst the expected criticism, but I don't think there is too much to add here, considering it is 'Announcements' and everything is strictly on topic.

I will keep you all updated for sure on my progress, because you all care, and I know it.

So, wish me luck!
