The Lost Room DS

Postby aekara » October 6th, 2011, 6:23 pm

helllo
So before one month (i think) i watched this mini series http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhAGrJW2Tos
And i gave me an idea off an rpg game
So this is what i have done so far
this game will have many good feauters

Now what do you have to do in this game?
well if you have wached the serieas you know that there are some "Objects" that can do incrediable thing like stopping the time or rotating houses :P
These object were made in a motel room "magicly" and this room doesnt exist any more
so by finding all the object you can actualy see this motel room and then Its a surprise!!!

Please tell me what you think

Here is a small demo
EDIT:A big game update with some new feauters like save/load,
some 3d effect when going behing buildings,
new place,
button screen update
wifi game updates that works!so you now dont have to download the new update from here any more.just click the wifi botton in the main menu to see if there are new updates!

You gave credit to PAlib... But not devkitPro?

Yes, it is the compiler.

It's easier to make games without PAlib than it is to make DS games without a DS compiler.

So PA_RandMinMax() I know isn't required...I see what you mean, where PAlib isn't everything. I have used multiple actions with it (just about all of them) and it usually has PAlib, though... Such as the random custom function?

Almost everything you do in DSGM uses PAlib, loading backgrounds, creating sprites, random numbers...

But you don't need PAlib to make a game. You can use libnds, which is a part of devkitPro.

PAlib is an additional libary that is not needed.

DevkitPro is needed. Without it you cannot compile and you will just be left with your .c and .h files.

Therefore dvekitPro is more important for making DS games than PAlib is. Which means it's rediculus to credit PAlib but not devkitPro.

RPG Maker backgrounds ftw. But you still missed out some detail such as the drop of the walls to give it more of a 3D effect. Nice game play, I shall be watching this thread.

EDIT
do you mean that whe i am behind an object it will look like i am under it? like jans example waen you go behind the house?
