halp, my paid for version of game maker is no longer working and has referted itself to the free version :/
also, when compiling I get errors (might be related). the files the compiler are asking for are present @ the given directories btw.
here are the error messages I get @ startup and @ compile

Im not totally sure about whats causing this but i suggest redownloading everything including Devkitpro (which dsgm prompts you to install if you dont have it)

Wow, James is still alive? I was not aware of that, I thought he left this forum completely unattended.

This forum is addictive. People may leave. But they will turn back up eventually. Just like when you became inactive for a while Foxi.

I was inactive for a while because I had final exams at University lol, not due to a personal choice of mine. :P

hey guys,
thanks for the replys. today when I tried to start up, I got the screen where I could enter my registration. so everything seems fine now. I think this was on account of the registration sever being unavailable (for me at least). going to try and finish my game now. thanks for all the replies!

4.9 files are .xds, DSGM 5 files are .dsgm.
4.9 uses files from the folders you store the Backgrounds, sounds, sprites in, while DSGM 5 keeps it altogether storing the files in itself. You could rename the . dsgm to .zip to view contents within.

But no you can't convert them :( .
Upcoming games I'm working on:
  • Minecraft2DS
  • Bow Man DS
  • Bird poo!
