Money!

Postby YoshiInAVoid » February 21st, 2012, 9:19 pm

So my dad owns a small company with four other people and wanted a simple Flash *swf export to go on their site. He immediately came to me since he knows my uber awesome programming skillz and I had it finished in about 20 minutes. As a result, I earned myself an easy £50.

No idea what I should buy with it though Image, anyone have any suggestions?

Do what I do; spend all of your money on action figures, cartoon dvds, comics, and video games!

Well, it'd pay for a Spotify subscription for a few months. 5 to be specific, if you live in England.

I would save it for something big. I kinda want a PS3 because it's starting to get some sweet exclusives... I almost regret getting a 360 instead... almost.

Not, 50 dollars. 50 GBP. Which I think is like 70 dollars if I remember correctly.Oh and Mega, I knew that, I just want specific video games. James, I've heard of Spotify but I can't remember what it is. Oh and I currently have 260 bucks all together because I earned £100 for double checking 500 exam papers from a teacher who is one of my mum's friends last month. The rest I've saved up from various other jobs, nothing major. I wish I got pocket money though then I would be on like £400 ;)

Any more ideas?

I'm not sure what systems you have, but if you're looking for some good games, here's what I suggest:
NES: Megaman 1-6, Legend of Zelda, Mario (original),
GB: Megaman 1-4, Mario 2: search for seven coins, Mortal Kombat 4,
Game Gear: Sonic 1/2, Sonic Pinball,
SNES: Megaman X 1,2,3, Super Street Fighter II, Zelda Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Mario Kart,
N64: Mario Kart 64, 007, Rush 2,
PS1: Megaman X 4,5,6, Megaman 8, Megaman Legends 1,2, Spyro (any),
PS2: Need for Speed most wanted, GTA San Andreas,
GBA: Zero 1-4, Dragonball Z Legacy of Goku 1/2,
NDS: Megaman ZX/Advent, Kirby Squeak Squad, Spongebob Creature from the Krusty Krab, Mario 64,
PSP: Little Big Planet, Worms (any),
Xbox 360: Halo 1-3 / Reach, Naruto Rise of the Ninja.

*dies* Until my uncles recent visit all I had was 10$ for fixing my moms laptop before that I had 2$ from my friends for me to make them charm necklaces. Right now Ive got 60$ which is huge for me. Im saving it until I have a crazy urge to buy something stupid like a boss NES controller belt buckle. If I were you Id buy something I wanted that I wouldnt be done with in like a week, maybe a new game system (I REALLY want a N64 but I know Id be tired of it in like a week since I have nobody to play with.) or maybe a new gadget. Do you have a cellphone? Maybe buy a fancy smartphone and show up your friends. As for games I really liked all the paper mario series (N64, GC, Wii) and they lasted pretty long. I also really liked the Mario and Luigi series (GBA, NDS) and they lasted super long! I suck at picking out what I wanna spend my money on and always end up buying something dumb like a Moleskine notebook or expensive markers or japanese candy (oh man I want some now!)

Don't have a NES, but I have all of those games on my NES emulator on my GameCube.
Don't really like Gameboy Games too much, I don't think I'll get any more of them.
Don't have a Game Gear,
I already have Zelda and Mario Kart, I don't really like Megaman or fighting games, I might check out Metroid though.
I already have Goldeneye, if that's what you mean by 007 (awsome game), I might get Mario Kart but I don't think I will, I already have it for pretty much every other Nintendo console ever made except a wii since I don't have one.
I have loads of racing games for PS2 already.
Dont have a PSP or XBOX.
Can't be bothered to post what I think about the whole of the rest of the list but nothing really apeals to me which I don't already have.

Thanks though! That's a great list.

Just thought I'de add that "Dragonball Z Legacy of Goku 1,2" are very similar to Zelda games, except with the DBZ story line. So, if you like Zelda games, you will probably like those as well.

It's not like they're making any money off their 20 year old out of production games, is it?

It's like an Acekard for your NES (Nintendo Entertainment System).

If you have an acekard or an R4 for your DS then why not get all of the Nintendo games downloaded onto your DS? You'de be able to play games wherever you go.

I came into a bit of money myself last week. I got $100.00 last Friday and spent it all on 351 comics the
next day. That's just the way I roll...
