it should be and i hope so, if not, then we can start our own regardless if there is a winner; it gets people using the program and making games and it helps stimulate i lot of growth in the forum and helps you learn a lot. Unfortunately DSGM is glitching my game out right now for no logical coding error on my part and it's making me mad and idk what i'll do about it. Now i see why i stopped using DSGM because of all the unexplained glitching, it makes me sad :(

yeah, i want to look into how dsgm writes the code though and how all the libraries and stuff work together with the program so i can start making games in C/C++. I want a new game maker that makes iphone apps for windows, but i don't have it yet or the time to get it. So since it's my only game maker i have and it makes games for DS (my favorite platform). I want make games for 3DS but idk if there is anything out there that can do that right now since they haven't even released 3DS rooms yet.

WOW you gave big plans :)
i never stayed and wandered how dsgm and palib-devkitpro- works but i am sure they have done a lot of work on it and for sure you can learn a lot by descovering how it works
3DS games will be possible in the nex 2-4 years as hackers arent able to run files thought 3ds mode only ds mode

Today I spent over 2 hours drawing a dead moth. It came out so good haha (not trying to brag or anything... :P). I really want to post it on here but I'm just gonna wait till I release my game.

Hey, Nobody, there is a program called "Game Maker" for Windows if you want to make PC games. It's layout is very similar to DSGM.

yeah, i know. I don't want to make pc games, no one cares about pc games :P I want to make games for something cool like the wii, ds, or iphone. I don't care about anything else. I know there is a wii game maker but last time i checked it was like dsgm which i don't want another program like it, i want one that doesn't use a GUI based programming, i want a scripting environment. An sdk is what i want. I've also been thinking about maybe learning how to make a win32 project and taking an sdk and combing the two to make like a dsgm type thing. It would be cool, but i would need a lot of programming help.

Ok, then all you need is Notepad and a compiler for C-to-Whatever.

yeah, i have miscrosft visual c++ 2010 express. My dad has the pro version of it and the new beta version of microsoft visual c++ is out but i'm debating if i want to get it or not since it doesn't really change anything i'm using it for. as far as the other platform i plan on getting dragonfire sdk which will allow me to make iphone apps.

i'm assuming the dead moth is for a cutscene or something? Also, i think the deadline should be pushed back since like everyone who's said they're doing it is getting a late start. At least till june 1 or something.
