what do you mean "your project"
the first version is not going well because i found a big problem, the is this french dude that did the same thing and used dsgm pro 5.12 here is the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDH1EMyMN0g
and plus LuaCraft by fantastix. (i am making mods for luacraft because this project isint going anywhere lately)

alot including the part that there are like a half-dozen pepole working on someting like this allone and about half-dozen pepole (us) are working on this

that's why you should only have 1-2 people max to actually touch the dsgm file. If you give me specifics i might be able to generate some code to help you.The youtube video of the french guy had a good concept going, the only thing is that the blocks had no collision.

I've got a better version I'm fixing up before giving it to you. Only a select few blocks have been implemented just as in minecraft pocket edition. Including doors that open/close and ladders. IF I am able to load infinte blocks, I will add: weather, health ,mobs ,animals, and CRAFTING!!

But it's a big IF.

Maybe you should've posted screenshots instead of the game?

ok i will and weather is just more lag so dont add it, i hate rain/snow because it takes a long time to clean up

(Every time we update we will post until 1.0 comes out, then we will do something so it wont be for free

Like sonic said, it just doesn't work... No one buys homebrew games no matter how good you make the game itself. As for the unlimited block solution, i have a few ideas about how to solve this. My first idea failed due to the crappiness and limitations of DSGM (and bad coding on my part). So i have a second idea to test that uses a different kind of system. I'll hopefully try it soon but no guarantees.

I had an Idea to use the text system to load blocks by replacing the characters with the blocks, but that would take up layer 0 and we don't want that.

i plan on doing it this way. We'd use a collision map system and the occasional objects for enemies and when we need to move a block. Every time we place a block we'd draw it to the collision map and onto the actual background. I'm pretty sure we'd have to initiate a draw mode which has a screen size limitation, but i'm not quite sure of that at the moment, i never tried it yet.

maybe alpha 0.2 if it has something better or alpha 0.1_2 if it is just a bugfix (not a stabel realease)

I played the first version you released. Maybe when you release a version it would also be nice to reply to the thread to let everyone know, otherwise no one will notice. Only reason i found it was because i randomly look at the topic title and i didn't remember there being a version out yet before.

As far as improvements, the biggest is the blocks. One, you can only place two blocks... Two, improve the block collision to make them more solid. Once you move one pixel up can surpass right through the block which makes the block barely solid (only being solid while your on the ground). Three, none of the tools work. Four, not all of the blocks have sprites when you place them down. Fix these things and you'll be on your way!

When I tested it on a emulator I got to place 5 birch wood blocks

Cool, I don't even know how to use Lua. And, no. I don't think you can Implement Lua to DSGM.
