A webbrowser in VB is just:

WebBrowser1.Navigate("URL Here")

It also has many features such as:

WebBrowser1.Back

And:

WebBrowser1.Forward

If you just make a bunch of buttons each with a line of code like shown above you have a fully functional web-browser.
But I don't recommend using it since it can't block popups or virus's and is completely unsafe. So just use firefox.

Visual basic has pretty much nothing to learn it's just so simple.

Download it, click new project, drag some buttons and textboxes and stuff onto the screen, on the propeties window select "events" and then asign some code when you double click the button or type in the textbox or whatever.

And... Theres 100's of tutorials on youtube if ever you get stuck!

And... Theres visual basic forums if ever you get stuck!

Oh and by the way, Visual Basic 2008 express edition is definatly the best, don't get a higher or lower version!

hmmm. So what would be the most beneficial programming interface that would be universal to most things?

Depends what you want to program for and what difficulty you want to work with.

You could make Windows programs in some form of assembly if you really wanted, or you could just as equally make something in Game Maker.

So there is no "benifitial" programming language. You use what you use and that's it.

You could make a website in javascript or flash or html or php but you can't use all of them at once.

So that's my opinion. Look at sample code and see what fits you best. If your a die hard programmer who builds and programs his own computers then it's some hardcore language for you! But if you aren't very dedicated and just make a few games as a hoby then something like Visual Basic will suit you very well.

i want to make an app for the app store but i don't have a mac. Then once i get the mac i need to buy the program and license which was like 100 bucks when i checked like 2 years ago. I can't remember if that was yearly either, but i think it was. I figure Dark Flow was my solution, but it doesn't compile it into apps :(

yeah i know, i think apple has a free version of the program, but you can't put it on the app store without paying the fee. I wonder what apple's software is like?

Sure you could.

BTW, Apple is dumb. Make apps for Android instead.
